Gambling never paid withdrawals but took deposit 100times.

Post by Joamo » Mon Nov 25, 2019 11:14 pm

I used a website to gamble. I didnt use my card as I pay mortages and they check all transaction's. My brother said I can use his card. I open the account and deposited. I kept withdrawing and after one month I attempted to withdraw over 96times and waiting more then 5days.

In the terms it says 1to3days. I deposited over 100 times in month. I think it was after 1 month I got fed up and kept messaging them. They never contacted me in the whole month.

After 2 months my brother told me he was on gamstop and if they not paying me why did they take self exclude members deposit 100times. He registered on gamstop last year.

The casino said I was verfired and they never process even one of my 96 withdrawals. They kept taking deposits 100times. Should the casino have checked sooner. If my brother was on gamstop since last year. They asked for his passport which I sent and his bank account. But they still kept deposits. They never paid me 96 times??

Hi,

Thank you for your post.

This all seems rather strange and a bit difficult to believe, but I'm no longer shocked by what online casinos do.

At this stage I don't have the casino's side of the story, so I can only go on what you've written. I'm assuming you are based in the UK, if not the regulations that govern your gambling might be very different.

I have to assume the card you used was not in your name? If this is the case, in many ways, your dispute is solved here. The online casino has likely breached their codes and conditions for operating in the UK. They should not have allowed you to gamble without further ID checks.

Their withholding of all withdrawals whilst still allowing you to gamble is also a breach of UK codes.

I've attached our advisory leaflet which outlines your options enabling you to put things on an official pathway. Be prepared for a fight as these companies never give in easily.

Hi,

Please note you can now post immediately without approval.

"They told me to go to ibas or ukgc." IBAS are only licensed to deal with certain things, but the companies frequently lie about this. As an example they can rule on if T&Cs have been broken, but they can't rule on social responsibility breaches. This therefore means they can rule on part of your case, but not all, so they're irrelevant really. The GC will not help you personally. All you can do is report the company to be investigated. You will never know if the GC does investigate or not. You read it!

It does seem like the company may broken POCA laws (proceeeds of crime), i.e. they didn't check your source of funds when you have deposited more than 2K.

A bit bleak, but you:

1. Fight your corner yourself (and/or with us) - we only help if we are provided with all communication by all parties and certain processes are followed.
2. Raise a small claim. Only ever do this if you know you've done nothing wrong legally and are willing to stand up in court to testify if this happens (very rarely does). Any claim under 10K comes with little risk unless you lie.
3. Seek legal help - we can provide contacts. We do not receive any fee or commission for doing this.

I hope this helps?

Thanks. I definitely didn't do anything wrong. I opened the account and deposited nearly 100times. In the whole month they never contacted me. They never processed my withdrawals I made over 96 times each time waiting more then 5days.

They done this to loads of other people. I reported this to ukgc when they only had 100 bad reviews now they have more then 240 bad reviews. They should of contact me about responsible gambling as 100 deposit in one month is very bad on top of not processing withdrawals 96 times. It's like they just wanted me to reverse and lose everything. The ukgc said they would crack down on unfair withdrawals terms last year.

Hi,

At present you've not named the casino, which I realise you may not want to do in a public forum, so if you want to take things further please do email me at: info@justiceforpunters.org I'm not saying we can get your money back, but I can take a look at the full details and suggest a way forward.

Your choice.

JJ
