Bet365 remove max bet button "Rant"

Post by dealer wins » Thu Oct 03, 2019 10:29 am

This is annoying, so now you have to either memorise the max bet amount for each odds, or key in an amount, submit the bet, then key in what it says the max bet amount is. So what would take 2 clicks now takes 4 clicks and having to input two lots of betting stakes.

No doubt it was done through either "responsible gambling" BS, or worse to make placing bets take a few seconds longer to piss off successful punters. In live betting the few seconds extra it takes can make a big difference to getting a bloody bet on as the odds change frequently, and now you have a good 10 second delay rather than the usual 5 second delay.

This wouldnt be a problem if you could bet more than a few quid, but seeing how they limit everyone to pennies this new measure takes the piss.

Hi,

Thanks for your post.

Have you taken this up with Bet365? My opinion, which may not be correct, is that it won't be anything to do with 'responsible gambling'. Any delay in bet placement is much more likely to do with other risk management, e.g. profit. J4P would be very interested to know what Bet365 says.

Out of interest why do you use them for in-play? Why not specialist software for the Betfair Exchange or Betdaq where you can bet instantly? I know liquidity can be awful, but.

If you get in touch with 365, please do feedback. They don't feedback anything to us and I'm restricted as a customer to 0p, so there's little direct we can do.

Sorry to be boring, but J4P does see protection of vulnerable customers as important.

Cheers,

JJ

Hi

I called B365 today, and was told they have removed the max bet button as part of a review, and couldnt elaborate on it. The guy did say that they have had quite a few disgruntled punters contact them about it, so maybe they will restore it.

I am limited to 1% but I still find it useful for live betting on Tennis, Footie Rugby etc

Hi,

Thanks for following up; appreciated.

I must admit that J4P thinks things like this are not just useful they also add transparency for the customer, so why take away useful information and a useful service? We are talking about gambling companies though.

Thanks again.

JJ
