Why is this happening at all ?

Why should accounts be closed ?
The bookies should learn to operate within fixed liabilities -like the exchanges and the tote- and hence be in no need to mess about with which customers are winning and which customers is losing.
It should be against the law to close an account.
It can be justified only if somebody is convicted for match/race fixing or if he/she is a person under orders and therefore not eligible to participate. So the responsibility should be with IBAS, when they are notified of the irregularity, not the company.

I have been involved in a situation where the ball was entirely on the other foot, back in the year 2000.
Illegal horse substitution, the on course betting authority did n't want to cooperate with the police investigations.

So every time it's what suits the betting company.
Heads we win, tails you lose.

Thank you for joining us and your posts. You are joining a community that seems to keep quiet on here in public, but we do have 100s of members now, most of who prefer to use private email.

We are making progress in the UK now. See: https://justiceforpunters.org/complaini ... 14th-2017/ and a market review we provided at the meeting: https://justiceforpunters.org/complaini ... -and-open/ This all happened this week and we will be meeting again in the next two months. There are no promises, but things are beginning to move in the UK. Of course the industry will be lobbying against change, but an industry cannot continue banning all winners whilst bankrupting others forever.

We are also working with UK government departments and this is needed in the EU. However, when we've tried some of the UK's MEPs they've been useless (no surprise there). It is a case of finding some potential 'friends' in your own country that are MEPs and taking things forward.

Everybody seems to be against account closures, yet its happening.
The law must change.
Everybody is assumed innocent until proven guilty.
We believe this law principle is to our advantage so even in crimes of violent nature justice follows this principle.
Why is it different here ?

We meet next week at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport with the UK's Head of Gambling Policy. We will be discussing the unfairness of account closures/restrictions among other things.
