We want your videos and pictures

Tell us about your experiences of fixed odds betting terminals, e.g. violence towards them and staff due to them, money problems caused by them, addiction, family problems, even very sadly suicide.

We want your videos and pictures

Other great organisations are highlighting the problems associated with this fairly new phenomenon of legal casinos on the high street with no need for membership or restricted entry (except under 18 years). These casinos are often open 12 hours per day.

The heavy losses suffered by some people has led to increased call-outs to bookmakers' shops despite a great deal of the violence not being reported. Again we want to gather evidence, so attach your pictures and short videos here for us to store.

The recent breaking of ranks by Paddy Power's outgoing CEO Breon Cocoran on FOBT max stakes made for a laugh and a half. He has the gall the write to the DCMS and argue for the moral reasons to lower FOBT max stakes to £10 as a bare faced PR exercise that simultaneously torpedoes the high street competition adding to his own companies significant online rake in. Paddy Power rely far less on high street FOBTs to put the meat on their table, but by encouraging a reduction on max stakes he aims to hobble the bigger high street firms knowing full well it could very well swell his online keep net for compulsive gamblers.

As I know from personal experience, Mr Cocoran's seemingly noble and moralistic on line brands have no such qualms about fleecing as much as they can from their own online no limit customers. No £10 max spin for his online crack den. You can lose as much you like, as quick as you like.

The DCMS are either being very naive or are totally blind to the fact that online losses on virtual FOBT and other games and live action sports events will simply dwarf the high street losses. Online bookmakers should be required to reveal individual customer yearly and all time losses & profits (if they exist to any real degree) on an anonymous basis to the DCMS. This would give the real figure on UK's gambling epidemic. It's one bet I'd take any odds you like on being a real eye opener for the government and especially the public.

Soho 1978, Greek street. A card box in the middle of the street, three miserable old men over it. The three card trick.
The one who was shuffling the cards was reciting a little poem "salute the king, salute the queen and bow your back to the keiserine".
Must be from world war one.
I approach them and say "you play me for 5p ?".
They did n't like -it was too small money- they says "wrowwwr, wrowwwr, ger off son".
A bobby is sighted, they all turn around and disappear in split seconds.
The cardboard box is kicked away and is flattened out of shape so it does n't look like a box anymore.
The bobby comes, looks right then left, sees nothing, continues his beat unperturbed.

London 2018, Hilton Hotel. The same -apparently- old men in two piece suits. The reception dinner is luscious. Includes pieces
of fried octopus made into kebap sticks. Carlsbergs-Heinekens for everybody. The installation of the same three card trick in
mechanical form in all the pubs and kindergarten of London town is being discussed. A government deputy minister salutes the convention.
