The Gambler’s Charter

Following advice from a number of organisations and people we’ve developed a ‘Charter‘ where we outline our aimsThe ‘Charter‘ has already been sent to and acknowledged by, the UK Gambling Commission.

 

The gambling consumer will have access to fair and equitable terms and conditions

The gambling consumer will have a standard customer verification procedure to avoid privacy abuse

Establish an All Party Parliamentary Group for Gambling Consumers and a not-for-profit organisation to represent gambling consumers’ interests

Improve gambling consumer representation at the United Kingdom Gambling Commission and on relevant major sporting bodies

The highest standards for “conflict of interest” where a sport has income guaranteed by statute, copyright or licencing from the gambling industry

Every gambling consumer must be laid a bet on sporting events with a minimum risk of £500.00

The gambling consumer must be notified before flash cookies or account management software is placed on their e-device

A free independent gambling consumers arbitration service will be created

Where a gambling machine has a guaranteed return and a minimum stake level of over £2.00, a casino licence will be required

Independent funding for and peer-reviewed publication of high-quality, methodologically appropriate research will be expanded
